About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Assistant to join our team at Extrastaff Recruitment. As a Food Service Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Setting up food and drink trolleys
  2. Serving/delivering meals and drinks
  3. Preparing texture modified food and fluids
  4. Preparing sandwiches and salads
  5. Recording accurate temperatures of food
  6. Washing dishes
  7. Maintaining cleanliness in service areas
Requirements
  1. Minimum 6 months previous experience working in healthcare environments (aged care, hospitals)
  2. Great communication skills
  3. Current National Police Certificate for unsupervised contact/vulnerable groups less than 12 months old
  4. Current Working with Children Check
  5. Current flu vaccination 2024
  6. COVID vaccinations X 3
  7. Flexibility to work across mornings, afternoons & ON-CALL shifts
  8. NDIS clearance is highly advantageous
