Insurance Testing Leadership

This is a key role for an experienced Test Manager to lead the testing requirements for a business insurance products tribe. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the test strategy, planning and coordinating test activities, designing and executing tests, supporting non-production environment requirements for test execution, incorporating agreed testing tools, and implementing test automation in collaboration with the Test Strategy.

The Test Manager will manage and coordinate all testing activities within the tribe/squad. It is essential that you have commercial, CTP, and Workers Compensation insurance testing knowledge, exceptional stakeholder/vendor management skills with strong communication.

About the Role:

  • Leverage expertise to develop and implement comprehensive test strategies that outline testing objectives, scope, resource plans, RACI's, defect management processes, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define test environment governance processes, test data, and non-production environment availability considering different testing types.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of test strategy, test plans, test cases, test results, requirement traceability matrices, and other testing artefacts.
  • Coordinate, coach, and support team members in all aspects of testing including system testing, system integration testing, business acceptance testing, production verification testing, and business regression testing.

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years Insurance Industry experience (would consider Financial Services).
  • 2-6 years of previous Test Management experience in large-scale project settings.
  • Minimum 2 years of Test Management experience in Commercial insurance (Business Insurance).
  • 2+ years working in an Agile environment.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills at senior level combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment and be adaptable to change.
  • Certifications: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level Certification (CTFL) - mandatory and Agile Fundamentals - ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) or similar - mandatory.
