Job Title: Communications Professional

We are seeking a skilled Communications Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content, developing effective communication strategies, and providing strategic advice on internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality content that tells our story and showcases our successes and achievements.
• Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage our target audiences.
• Provide strategic advice and insights on communications issues, technologies, and opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest new ways of telling our stories and expanding our audiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement enhancements to our media and communications activities.
• BUILD AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS TO PROMOTE OUR STORIES.
• COORDINATE WITH COLLEAGUES TO IDENTIFY, RESEARCH, AND TELL ENGAGING STORIES ABOUT OUR WORK VIA A WIDE VARIETY OF COMMUNICATIONS CHANNELS AND TECHNIQUES.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Experience in media and journalism, preferably in the Higher Education sector.
• Strong influencing, communication, and presentation skills to achieve high-quality outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently and with initiative to lead communications projects.
• Excellent understanding of the media, publishing, and communications professions.
• Skills and experience in high-level writing, video production, design, layout, and publishing using various technologies and platforms.
• High-level computing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including video conferencing.
• Superior relationship-building skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Skills in problem-solving and creative thinking to develop solutions to meet business requirements.
