Role Summary

A leading geotechnical professional is sought to work with a diverse team of experts on various projects. The successful candidate will contribute to project delivery, risk management and technical mentoring.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with experienced geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists and other professionals at a national and international level.
  • Ensure high-quality outputs and identify opportunities for improvement in project delivery.
  • Analyse data to develop practical and commercial solutions for deep excavations, slope stability, foundations, retaining walls and pavement designs.
  • Interact with clients throughout the project lifecycle and provide advice on business development opportunities.
  • Develop skills and knowledge of junior team members through technical mentoring and guidance.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualifications in geotechnical/geological/civil engineering, with postgraduate qualifications beneficial.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical consulting, including fieldwork data gathering and site investigation reporting.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring and technical skills, with ability to prioritise, coordinate and lead teams.
  • Experience with numerical modelling software (e.g. Plaxis 2D/3D and Abaqus) and ability to learn new methods.
  • Excellent client service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel and work on remote sites, with a current manual driver's license.
