Production Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the efficient and effective operation of our production facility. This key role will involve manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, and maintenance.

  • Manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, and maintenance of products in a TGA/FDA regulated environment
  • Timely execution of production plans to meet business objectives
  • Accountability for safety, quality, and environmental compliance across the site
  • Leading, motivating, and developing team members to enhance performance/productivity and foster a safe, inclusive, collaborative, and supportive culture
  • Maintaining quality standards to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and assisting the Quality Manager with external audits
  • Driving continuous process improvement initiatives across all departments to improve overall operational performance
  • Sourcing, installing, and commissioning new equipment
  • Ongoing maintenance of all equipment on site and performing basic repairs
  • Equipment fault finding and repairs

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in process plant operations, ideally within cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or other FMCG businesses
  • Experience working within a TGA or FDA regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of safety with the ability to identify risks and implement controls
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and competent at basic equipment repairs
  • Thorough understanding of sitewide maintenance requirements for a manufacturing business
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Previous contractor management experience
  • Proficient in the use of MS Suite
