Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to undertake electrical maintenance activities for fixed plant equipment and instrumentation.

This is a permanent full-time position, 38 hours per week on a 9 day fortnight, offering every second Friday off.

  • Evaluate the reliability and integrity of plant and equipment by investigating and preventing recurrence of electrical/instrument failures.
  • Conduct planned, preventative, and breakdown electrical maintenance activities in accordance with Company procedures and operating instructions.
  • Minimise downtime through accurate fault finding, investigating, and determining repair actions.
  • Install and commission modifications and design changes to control, instrument, and electrical equipment in accordance with standards.
  • Utilize system management software to obtain parts and complete documentation/reports as required.
  • Isolate plant and equipment for maintenance purposes.
  • Participate in team projects and share continuous improvement ideas that may enhance maintenance, safety, process, and cost reduction.

The ideal candidate will hold a current NSW Electrical Qualified Supervisor Certificate or have the ability to obtain it. Familiarity with requirements of AS3000 and WHS (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulations is also necessary.
