A mainframe professional with expertise in DB2 will work as part of our team.

This role involves technical leadership and providing solutions for customers, partners, and prospects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DB2 software and its implementation.

The following are key responsibilities:

  • Building engineering: Deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business needs, focusing on reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use.
  • Incident management: Identify, address, and resolve potential issues or vulnerabilities in IT infrastructure.
  • Automation: Develop automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Security: Implement secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber threats.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.

The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience installing, maintaining, and upgrading IBM DB2 products, including SMPe best practices.
  • 10 years of practical experience working as a DB2 Systems Programmer, including problem resolution and performance management.
  • 10 years of experience managing DB2 Performance and DB2 problem resolution in a high-availability environment.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. We value additional skills such as z/OSMF, Data Propagation methodologies, DB2 internal and RACF Security, and emerging mainframe technologies.
