With a focus on plant and equipment maintenance, this key role oversees site maintenance resources, manages facilities maintenance costs, and drives new capital expenditures.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical trades knowledge, with 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing environments and up to 4 years in management roles. Proficiency in CAD systems such as Solidworks 3D, Inventor 3D, and AutoCAD 2D is also essential.

Key responsibilities include managing employee relations, ensuring preventative tooling and equipment maintenance, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining spare part systems. The successful candidate will be able to champion safety, staff training, and mentoring, as well as downtime analysis and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations by promoting a safe working environment and conducting risk assessments.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are in place and workloads are effectively managed.
  • Drive continuous improvement through collaborative efforts with production teams to enhance overall equipment effectiveness and reduce equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares are always available.
  • Coordinate with contractors and implement effective document changeover procedures.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Up to 4 years of experience in a management role.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems such as Solidworks 3D, Inventor 3D, and AutoCAD 2D.
  • Strong mechanical trades knowledge and skills.
