Job Role: Catering Supervisor

This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the excellence of our catering operations across various venues. As a Catering Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure consistent high-quality service, develop and mentor a team, and implement process improvements.

About This Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading from the front, building strong teamwork, maintaining exceptional service quality, and driving operational success. You will work closely with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment, helping deliver exceptional customer experiences while staying adaptable to meet the demands of high-profile events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of catering operations across multiple venues to guarantee seamless delivery and quality service.
  • Supervision and mentoring of a team of chefs, baristas, and catering staff, including rostering, performance feedback, and training.
  • Review and feasibility assessment of catering requests to provide hands-on leadership at complex events.
  • Collaboration with Team Leaders to provide regular reporting on operations, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
  • Driving menu development and improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and Council standards, while maintaining equipment and resources.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or diploma in the food service industry or equivalent experience in multi-venue catering operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience in staff supervision, rostering, and performance management.
  • Level 1 Food Safety and RSA certifications, along with solid knowledge of relevant safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, with the ability to adapt new technologies for operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenges diplomatically and foster team collaboration.
