About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer to join our Resources and Energy Team at the Northern Land Council. As a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects within the resources and energy portfolio, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with Traditional Owners to ensure that they are fully informed of any proposals and that their rights are fully protected.
  • Drive technical assessments, manage contracts, engage with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating any risks or issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that project outcomes align with organisational objectives.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in a field such as Geology, Engineering, Sociology, Anthropology, or Business.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role, including project management.
  • Proven experience in consultation, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and mediation techniques and practices.
  • High level cross-cultural, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient ICT literacy skills, including familiarity with Content Management Systems, Microsoft 365, and associated software.
What We Offer
  • A base salary of $98,725 per annum, plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900.
  • Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
  • District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
  • 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave.
  • Paid Christmas close down.
  • Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,961 upon completion of 12 months of service.
