Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiation surveys using scientific methodologies and prepare reports.
  • Design radiation shields for apparatus and source rooms.
  • Provide radiation protection training, advice, and consultancy to clients.
  • Review lab reports and provide scientific guidance to the lab manager.
  • Calculate radiation doses to determine exposure effects.
  • Assist clients in developing radiation management plans.
  • Demonstrate expertise in radiation monitoring equipment and participate in sales activities.
  • Provide technical guidance on radiation monitoring solutions.
  • Manage project work, including data analysis, reporting, and client communication.
  • Calibrate radiation monitoring equipment according to NATA and ISO standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science (Physics or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with the Victorian DHHS regulatory framework.
  • Basic knowledge of radiation safety principles.
