About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Protection Expert to join our team in Notting Hill VIC. As a Radiation Protection Expert, you will be responsible for performing tests on radiation survey meters, undertaking radiation shield design calculations, and providing radiation protection training and consultancy to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Performing Tests and Calculations: Conduct scientific tests and perform calculations to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  2. Radiation Shield Design: Design and implement radiation shields to minimize exposure risks.
  3. Client Consultancy: Provide expert advice and consultancy services to clients on radiation protection and safety.
  4. Laboratory Work: Undertake quality approvals for laboratory reports, prepare scientific reports, and assist clients in developing radiation management plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science (preferably physics or a related discipline) or relevant work experience.
  • Good understanding of Victorian DHHS regulatory framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to organize and manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
