Contraception Access Initiative

The project aims to increase access to contraception by developing a video animation that empowers women to choose and request contraception in a pharmacy setting. The goal is to co-design the video with consumers and key stakeholders, then pilot it in community pharmacies.
About the Project BackgroundIn Australia, 40% of women experience an unintended pregnancy during their lifetime, resulting in abortion. This project seeks to address this issue by providing community pharmacists with the knowledge and skills to provide contraception information and support. The project involves developing, implementing, and evaluating a digital intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop a video animation that educates women on contraception options
- Collaborate with consumers and stakeholders to ensure the video meets their needs
- Pilot the video in community pharmacies to assess its effectiveness
This opportunity is available to domestic students only. Candidates must meet Monash University's minimum requirements for PhD admission.
