Clinical Midwife

The Sunshine Coast Health Service is seeking a Clinical Midwife to join their First 1000 Days team in Child, Youth & Family Health services. The successful candidate will be part of an integrated midwifery and child health nurse model that aims to provide a holistic and responsive health service to families with vulnerabilities.

The First 1000 Days program focuses on connecting and supporting women and families with complex vulnerability factors who find engaging with health services challenging due to past experiences, stigma, or system barriers. This includes pregnant women, postnatal women, and their children up to the age of two years.

The role involves working autonomously, having advanced communication and complex problem-solving skills, and knowledge/experience working with CPLU/Child Safety. The successful candidate will also need to be aware of legislation for release of information, section 159(N/M) of the Child Protection Act, 1999.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package including salary between $107,960 - $115,604 per annum (full-time), or salary rates: $54.44 - $58.30 per hour (part-time). The employer contributes to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%).
