Environmental Lawyer Job

We are seeking a seasoned Environmental Lawyer to join our team. As a Senior Associate in our Environment and Planning practice, you will work closely with our Sydney-based partners and other lawyers to provide expert advice on environmental risk management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on environmental risk management and compliance;
  • Assist with pollution and licensing enforcement and litigation;
  • Work on renewable energy projects including wind and solar farms;
  • Manage waste issues including licensing levies and compliance;
  • Advise on native vegetation and natural resource management;
  • Assist with contaminated land management and remediation;
  • Develop strategic planning and development advice;
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments;
  • Review planning agreements and heritage law;
  • Represent clients in the Land and Environment Court;
  • Perform planning and environmental due diligence;
  • Advise on climate change law and policy;
  • Assist with sustainability initiatives including environmental upgrade agreements.
Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years' experience in an environment and planning practice;
  • Strong knowledge of environmental law and regulations;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
