Lead Wellbeing Strategist

Job Overview

The Lead Wellbeing Strategist is a senior role responsible for driving key wellbeing considerations into policy development and review across the broader Defence enterprise.

This position requires a high degree of negotiation skill to achieve common outcomes, working closely with other areas such as monitoring and evaluation, program management, implementation and individual professionals.

The successful candidate will contribute to efforts to enhance Defence culture and literacy for individual and collective wellbeing for the Defence community.

This role demands a deep understanding of staff skills required to support interdepartmental and ministerial requirements, with an ability to discern and document essential detail.

Broad work to support strategy requirements as well as policy is expected, with a focus on improving the mental health and wellbeing of the Defence community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement wellbeing strategies to drive positive change within the Defence community.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address wellbeing needs and priorities.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees to promote healthy wellbeing practices.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to wellbeing initiatives.
