Job Opportunity: Environmental Sustainability Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team in Western Australia. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping and influencing environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives that align with our company's long-term goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conducting and overseeing external and internal environmental audits;
- Assisting in setting site environmental policies, procedures, and objectives;
- Conducting field testing and sampling as required;
- Ensuring the site meets or exceeds all Environmental legislative and regulatory standards and conditions;
- Reporting and monitoring environmental performance, including National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) and National Pollutant Inventory (NPI);
- Submitting environmental reports and managing the Environmental license;
- Participating in the development of sustainability-focused site projects;
- Overseeing, updating and maintaining all aspects of the Environmental license.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related field;
- Previous experience in environmental monitoring, recording, and field sampling;
- Strong knowledge of environmental reporting and compliance requirements;
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
