About the Role

Our team requires an experienced Project Accountant to manage project financials, reporting, and compliance on a temporary full-time contract.

In this role, you will oversee and track project budgets, costs, and forecasts, collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting, process billing, revenue recognition, accruals, and journal entries, monitor actuals vs budget and prepare variance analysis, maintain accurate project records in SAP S/4HANA, prepare month-end and project-specific financial reports, support internal/external audits and ensure financial compliance, and provide financial insight and analysis to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and track project budgets, costs, and forecasts
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
  • Process billing, revenue recognition, accruals, and journal entries
  • Monitor actuals vs budget and prepare variance analysis
  • Maintain accurate project records in SAP S/4HANA
  • Prepare month-end and project-specific financial reports
  • Support internal/external audits and ensure financial compliance
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support project delivery
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • CPA/CA qualified or part-qualified (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA is required
  • Strong knowledge of project costing, WIP, and financial reporting
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
