Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced cyber security specialist to join our team.

About the Role:
  • Assist in planning and implementing departmental systems to meet cyber security requirements and deliver risk management services on-premise and cloud-based services.
  • Align security expectations with industry best practices such as ISM, PSPF, Essential 8, and other relevant standards.
  • Support IRAP preparation activities and ensure accurate documentation is maintained.
  • Manage IT security strategies and build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with Australian Government Security Standards.
  • Contribute to migration of services to the cloud.
  • Provide cybersecurity advice to stakeholders.
  • Conduct security and quality assurance reviews.
Key Skills:
  • Experience working as a Security Analyst with demonstrable experience in security monitoring, access control, application patching and hardening.
  • Applying Australian government security frameworks including ISM, PSPF, and Essential 8 in large on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Contributing to IRAP preparation activities and ensuring accurate documentation in IT security strategy implementation.
  • Completing technical reviews and endorsements of technical solution designs.
