Job Title: Senior Emergency Physician Specialist

The Hospital:

Our hospital provides a wide range of services, including emergency care, surgery, medical treatment, Women's and Children's health, rehabilitation, intensive care, and mental health services, as well as extended care into regional areas with community-based health programs.

The Position:

We are seeking multiple experienced senior emergency registrars to join our busy emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level emergency clinical services in a safe environment.
  • Support and encourage expansion of training in emergency medicine and education.
  • Document relevant clinical information accurately, concisely, and legibly.
  • Conduct interviews, examinations, and identification of clinical problems.
  • Arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment, and discharge as directed by assigned consultants.
  • Assist with surgical procedures and outpatient clinics as required.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and teach junior medical staff.

Essential Requirements:

  • Hold a valid medical registration with APRHA.
  • Standard Pathway (AMC Part 1 complete) and Competent Authority IMGs welcome.
  • Current experience relevant to the position of Emergency Medicine Registrar.
  • Able to work a rotating roster, including nights and public holidays.
  • Proven 'in charge' experience and evidence of involvement in continuing professional development.
