Job Overview

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority's (APRA) stress testing program is a critical component of the financial system, focusing on the Banking industry.

This role will collaborate with other teams within the System Risk Branch to deliver high-quality analysis and reporting of APRA stress testing insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver actionable insights for internal stakeholders by analyzing and reporting APRA stress testing results
  • Engage with industry in the design, process, and delivery of stress test results
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on stress testing insights for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders across APRA, including supervisors and risk specialists
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging risks impacting the financial system
  • Provide subject matter expertise on stress testing to inform APRA's core functions
  • Communicate stress testing plans and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to thematic analysis on systemic risk issues across the System Risk branch
About You:
  • Experience in stress testing methodology and processes
  • Working knowledge of APRA's prudential framework and associated risks
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including financial analysis and modelling
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to drive and manage projects
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Report writing and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of R and Power BI would be beneficial

To be successful in this role, you must be an Australian citizen eligible for a Baseline Security clearance.
