Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical design expertise on complex projects, leading small to medium-sized engineering design projects, and communicating effectively with stakeholders and project teams.

About the Role
  • Provide mechanical design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring best practice outcomes for clients.
  • Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects, managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and project teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Hold a recognized tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate expertise in designing mechanical services systems, including air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Have proven project experience in the building services sector across Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare, Educational, and/or Mission Critical facilities.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards, local experience an advantage.
  • Ensure registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.
