Sydney Water WSC Technical Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Designer to lead our Sydney Water WSC team. As a key technical leader, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of designers, delivering compliant and high-quality water and sewer designs, and driving the success of projects across urban and regional developments.

This role offers a chance to combine technical excellence with leadership and business development in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the Sydney Water WSC design team.
  • Oversee end-to-end design and documentation of water and sewer infrastructure.
  • Ensure design compliance with Sydney Water and industry standards.
  • Represent the company in client meetings with architects, builders, developers, and contractors.
  • Support company leadership and contribute to building team culture and new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with drafters and other disciplines to deliver integrated, high-quality outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' experience in civil engineering/design, preferably with a WSC background.
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Sydney Water accreditation or significant project experience in this sector.
  • Strong Civil 3D and/or 12D software skills.
  • Proven leadership, project management, and client engagement capabilities.
