Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Seafood Expert to join our team at Sydney Fish Market. As the southern hemisphere's largest fish market, we are looking for someone who is passionate about seafood and can provide exceptional customer service.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • - Review, refine and administer guided tours offered to consumers and industry customers, creating memorable and informative experiences
  • - Provide tailored educational and engaging experiences to all visitors onsite or online via social media content
  • - Utilise knowledge to create species information guides and run face-to-face seafood information sessions
  • - Support the Sydney Seafood School by providing seafood expertise and presenting relevant content during cooking classes
  • - Manage relationships with key fishers' co-operatives and supplier partners, identifying educational needs and delivering solutions
  • - Represent the market in an informed manner, showing the highest level of customer service when answering general customer and seafood related questions
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience:
  • - 2-3 years of experience in a professional guiding or presenting role
  • - Strong knowledge of seafood and the seafood industry
  • Skills:
  • - Excellent public speaking skills
  • - Excellent verbal communication skills
  • - Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds
