The role of Boatyard Hand is a vital part of our team, responsible for ensuring the highest industry standards in boat servicing and maintenance.
Located at Nelson Bay Boatyard, this opportunity offers an exciting chance to work alongside dedicated professionals with a shared passion for boats and boating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily boatyard and detailing tasks
- Ensure timely retrieval and launch of vessels
- Perform repairs and services
- Monitor and maintain stock levels
- Prepare vessels for required maintenance
- Apply antifoul and other applications
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of vessel construction and maintenance practices
- Basic maintenance skills and ability to use hand and power tools
- Detailing experience
- A forklift license & current boat license preferred but not essential
- Reliability and punctuality
- Australian residency
- Awareness of workplace safety, health, quality, and environmental standards
- Experience in boatyard work preferred but not essential
