Senior Pharmacist Role

About the Position:

This is a leadership opportunity for a skilled and experienced pharmacist to manage pharmacy services in a designated clinical area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality care for patients, exercising independent clinical judgement, and providing expert therapeutic advice to healthcare professionals.

The role involves day-to-day management of pharmacy operations, supervision of staff, education of students, and contribution to policy development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

We are seeking an accomplished pharmacist with advanced clinical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pharmacy services in a designated clinical area
  • Exercise independent clinical judgement
  • Provide expert therapeutic advice to healthcare professionals
  • Supervise and educate staff and students
  • Contribute to policy development, research, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current registration (or eligibility) with the relevant authority

Extensive hospital pharmacy practice experience with proven leadership or supervisory responsibilities

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex workloads

Mandatory Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance (NPC), and compliance with health immunization requirements
