Central Australia Plan Taskforce Engagement and Policy Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engagement and Policy Officer to join our team at Workforce Australia for Individuals.

  • This is an ongoing and non-ongoing position for an initial period of up to 9 months, with flexible working arrangements considered.
  • The successful candidate will be based in Alice Springs, NT, or Woden, ACT, with other NIAA office locations also considered.
  • This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the NIAA delegate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to promote the Central Australia Plan Taskforce's objectives.
  • Provide policy advice and support to the Taskforce team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Indigenous communities and government agencies.

Requirements:

  • APS Level 5 or 6 qualification.
  • Proven experience in engagement and policy roles, particularly in Indigenous affairs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
