Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As an experienced Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring clients remain comfortable in their homes and offices throughout the year.


Key Responsibilities
  • Replace faulty thermostats, wiring, and controls to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Test electrical circuits or components for continuity using advanced electrical test equipment.
  • Reassemble and test equipment after repairs to guarantee seamless functionality.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring to maintain high standards.
  • Lay out and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment according to precise wiring diagrams, utilizing electrician's hand tools.
  • Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications, detecting and locating malfunctions effectively.
  • Adjust system controls to manufacturer-recommended settings to balance system performance.
  • Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, including valves, air ducts, and dampers.
  • Perform routine maintenance procedures such as cleaning or vacuuming equipment to prevent wear and tear.
  • Install and test automatic, programmable, or wireless thermostats to optimize energy usage.

Requirements
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • An insurable driving record is necessary.
  • A minimum of a High School diploma is required.
  • At least 2 years of overall professional experience as a Service Technician or similar role within a HVAC-related field is essential.
  • The ability to work from a 40' extension ladder and 6' step ladder is necessary.
  • Safe operation of power and hand tools is required.
  • Participation in in-house training programs is mandatory.
  • The ability to follow written and verbal directions as given is crucial.
  • Good communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • EPA certification is required.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is necessary.
  • A clear and analytical approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making abilities are essential.
