Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

This role involves working with teachers to provide support to students in a classroom environment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support.

Main Responsibilities:

">
  • Provide support to students with specific learning needs, including scribing, reading and providing feedback and observations to teachers.">
  • Assist in the maintenance of a clean and tidy classroom environment, including storage facilities and setting up appropriate classroom/learning space.">
  • Support students with their physical needs, such as mobility support and personal care.">
  • Perform administrative tasks, including record maintenance and producing resources.">

Requirements:

  • A current Working with Children Suitability Card is required for this role.">
  • A current Driver's Licence is also required.">
  • The ability to travel from time to time within the region.">
  • The ability to perform the physical requirements of the role safely.">

Desirable Criteria:

  • A Certificate III in School Based Education Support or equivalent.">
