Junior Finance Officer Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to provide timely and accurate financial and administrative support to our authors, ensuring high-quality personalized service across the firm.

  • Input invoices for correct allocation to expense codes
  • Process creditor payments via electronic funds transfer and cheques
  • Manage weekly team reimbursements by EFT and general matter payments
  • Handle electronic fund transfers between General, Trust, credit card accounts
  • Process corporate credit cards and manage petty cash with reconciliations
  • Assist with minor journal entries and monthly printing allocations
  • SUPPORT file closure and reopening processes
  • Contribute to additional tasks ensuring smooth business operations

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in accounts payable within a professional services setting (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • High proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills with clear and effective communication
  • A great attitude with the ability to exercise initiative
  • A general enthusiasm for finance and a willingness to continuously learn and develop your skills
  • The ability to work autonomously but most importantly as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail, with a strong sense of integrity and discretion when managing sensitive financial information
