About The Role
Ventia has been contracted by the DJCS (Department of Justice and Community Safety) to deliver comprehensive Facility Management solutions that encompass scheduled, preventive, and urgent maintenance services, alongside additional services such as cleaning, grounds maintenance, pest control, and waste management.
The Plumber will be an integral member of the team, working across the Barwon Precinct (Lara, VIC region) to conduct planned, urgent, remedial, and miscellaneous maintenance tasks across various facilities.
We are also on the lookout for Trade Assistants and Electrical / HVAC technicians to bolster our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a multi-skilled team to deliver high-quality facility management and maintenance services.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks related to hydraulic systems in large commercial buildings.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing and equipment issues promptly in a critical environment.
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures, while responding to plumbing emergencies.
- Install minor plumbing infrastructure as required.
- Manage work orders for all completed tasks within stipulated timeframes.
- Uphold high standards of compliance, safety, health, environment, and quality in all work performed.
About You:
You will possess qualifications and experience as a Plumber, particularly in time-sensitive environments with a focus on both planned and urgent maintenance.
Essential qualifications include:
- Licensed Plumber with experience in large facilities and associated hydraulic systems.
- Proven experience in urgent rectification and reporting.
- Ability to maintain scheduled work plans effectively.
- Commitment to high standards of compliance and driving safety, health, environment, and quality in your work.
- A current unrestricted driver's license.
- Ability to pass a National Police Check and Medical examination.
- Evidence of full COVID-19 vaccinations.
Desirable Qualifications:
- TMV and Backflow license.
- Gas fitting license.
- EWP - Scissor and boom lift license.
- Working at Height certification.
