About the Role

Ventia has been engaged by the Department of Justice and Community Safety to provide integrated Facility Management services, including planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, and soft services such as cleaning, grounds, pest, and waste management.

The Plumber will play a key role in the team, operating across the Barwon Precinct of facilities for planned, reactive, remedial, and ad-hoc maintenance activities.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in a multiskilled team to deliver high-quality facility management and maintenance services.
  • Complete planned maintenance activities across hydraulic systems associated with large commercial facilities.
  • Identify and rectify equipment and plumbing infrastructure faults in a time-critical environment.
  • Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures, and respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Install minor plumbing infrastructure as needed.
  • Manage work orders for all works completed within required timeframes.
  • Maintain high standards across compliance, safety, health, environment, and quality in your work.
About You

You will have qualifications and experience working as a Plumber in a time-critical environment with a focus on planned and reactive maintenance.

You will also possess:

  • A licensed Plumber with experience in large facilities and associated hydraulic systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in time-critical rectification and reporting.
  • Capability in maintaining scheduled work plans.
  • High standards across compliance and driving safety, health, environment, and quality in your work.
  • A current unrestricted driver's license.
  • Ability to complete and pass a National Police Check and Medical.
  • Ability to evidence full COVID vaccinations.
Nice to Have
  • TMV and Backflow license.
  • Gas fitting license.
  • EWP - Scissor and boom lift license.
  • Working at Height.
