**Job Opportunity for a Legal Expert**

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to provide expert advice on corporate, commercial and financial services law.

  • Conduct reviews of marketing materials to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Offer specialist advice on corporate law, commerce and governance to various businesses.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts.
  • Provide guidance on insurance products and documentation.
  • Interpret and advise on statutory matters impacting our business.
  • Support litigation teams in corporate disputes.
  • Offer legal guidance on complaints and potential disputes, including those at AFCA.
  • Deliver staff training sessions on legal matters.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in law (LLB or equivalent).
  • A current practising certificate as a NSW (or other Australian State) lawyer – mandatory.
  • At least three years' experience in a mid or top-tier law firm.
  • Proven expertise in providing commercial legal advice.
  • Previous experience working in an insurance and/or Australian financial services environment is beneficial.
  • A practical and commercially-focused approach, with an understanding of the general insurance market.
  • Excellent stakeholder and people management skills.
  • High-level written and spoken language skills.
