Job Title:

Mental Health Clinician First Episode Psychosis 25+

About the Role

This role plays a critical part in providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing first episode psychosis, ensuring they transition smoothly to the least restrictive environment and improve their quality of life.

The successful applicant will deliver best-practice interventions, empower consumers in their recovery journey, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive assessments, formulations, and treatments for psychosis and other mental health issues
  • Working closely with young people and their families in a community setting
  • Managing consumers with a first episode psychosis, prioritizing their needs and well-being
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in consultation with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless integration of services
Requirements
  • Full registration with relevant Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) boards or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy
  • Relevant clinical mental health experience in a community setting, with a focus on delivering high-quality care
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
