We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Plant Attendant at Glencore. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our power generation, oxygen plant, and compressed air assets.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Assets: You will be responsible for operating and maintaining our power generation, oxygen plant, and high and low-pressure compressed air assets to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Tradespeople and Engineers: You will work collaboratively with tradespeople and engineers in a multidisciplinary environment to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Meet Performance Targets: You will be responsible for ensuring that set targets are met and the operation runs efficiently, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Trade Qualification: A trade qualification in a relevant field, such as mechanical or electrical, is highly regarded but not mandatory. We will provide training if you do not hold a trade qualification.
- Experience in Boiler and Turbine Generation: Experience in boiler and turbine generation is desirable, but we will provide training if you do not have this experience.
- Commitment to Safety: You will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and adhere to all relevant safety protocols and procedures.
- Self-Motivated and Positive Attitude: You will be a self-motivated and positive individual who enjoys working in small, highly productive teams.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to Work in Multiple Areas: You will be required to work in both the Lead Smelter and Copper Smelter Areas, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
