Job Overview

As a Senior Pastry Chef Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and executing plated desserts for various F&B outlets during a la carte service. You will also assist in setting up stations for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, ensuring high-quality presentation and cooking techniques meet Sofitel Brand Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good communication levels with senior chefs and other managers from different departments.
  • Assist in preparing and setting up buffet for various functions across all F&B outlets.
  • Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet Sofitel Brand Standards.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment focused on quality improvement and employee development.
  • Adhere to Emergency Communication procedures and Accor Values.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
  • A genuine passion for gastronomy.
  • Working understanding of food safety standards and HACCP.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note that full-time Australian working rights are required for this role.
