Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide support to individuals in a community-based and/or residential setting.

As a compassionate Support Worker, you will establish relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation.

  • Establish trusting relationships with individuals to promote their well-being and independence.
  • Support the implementation of personalized strategies to address the needs and goals of each client.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for support.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to develop and review case plans that align with their needs and aspirations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment, preferably in a homelessness sector.
  • Current QLD Working with Children Check.
  • Driver's Licence.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR.
  • Ability to work night/weekend shifts, including sleep overs as required.

This is a part-time position (26 hours per week) located in Ashmore City, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services CRISIS Level 1 award.
