A key role in our organisation, responsible for achieving grid connections and managing the connection process from development through to construction.
- Provide assistance during project development by identifying factors influencing and influenced by the grid connections.
- Manage the submission of grid applications, ensuring timely completion and progression through NSPs and AEMO processes.
- Negotiate with NSPs and AEMO throughout the review process of Grid connection application.
- Review grid connection offers to ensure they meet our requirements and represent the minimum scheme required.
- Be responsible for creating and maintaining framework agreements with ICPs and equipment suppliers.
- Play a strategic role in the development of standardised arrangements for grid connections.
- Support project managers with technical assistance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop departmental procedures to support grid connection application and capacity checks.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Grid at DNSP and TNSP levels.
- Experience in negotiating legal and commercial aspects of connection contracts.
- Commercial acumen and established relationships with DNSPs, TNSPs, and AEMO.
