The Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to contribute to our dynamic team in North Sydney on a fixed-term contract. This role presents a chance to engage in an innovative greenfield project aimed at shaping our future systems strategy. You will be responsible for identifying and overseeing the implementation of new features and propositions, serving as the subject matter expert in innovation and product methodologies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of business processes and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Developing both short-term and long-term plans for business system components aligned with strategic and tactical business initiatives.
  • Mentoring and guiding Business Analyst resources across multiple supported products.
  • Managing operational relationships with key stakeholders impacted by system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ensuring that technology initiatives adhere to quality, risk, and process improvement standards in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitating effective communication of technology initiatives within teams to mitigate adverse impacts of changes.
  • Overseeing the resolution of significant support incidents related to managed systems.

Required Experience:

A robust commercial background (7+ years) as a Business Analyst is essential for success in this role. Additional skills and experience include:

  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems and processes, particularly in business process re-engineering.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, isolating, and interpreting business needs to plan and deliver suitable technical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in supporting the execution of complex projects within an Agile framework.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality project documentation, communications, business cases, and presentations.
  • A solid understanding of both technology and business strategy and architecture.
