About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Perth, Australia. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Managing and operating IT hardware, software, communications, and application solutions to meet business needs.
  2. Configuring and installing various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS.
  3. Performing network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  4. Monitoring performance and ensuring system availability and reliability.
  5. Providing Level-1/2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  6. Working within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
  7. Selecting and implementing security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team.
  8. Liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years plus of experience in network infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Understanding of public cloud environments and basic firewall knowledge.
  • Previous experience working with Fortinet (or any other vendor) routing, switching, and security products.
  • CCNA or equivalent certifications required.
  • Fortinet product experience is required.
  • Understanding of the differences between an IT and an OT environment.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols, such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent certifications.
