This position is a key opportunity for an experienced cybersecurity professional to contribute their skills in safeguarding critical defence operations. A highly technical and collaborative environment awaits the successful candidate.

  • The ideal candidate will possess expertise in security operations analysis, threat detection, and compliance.
  • A strong understanding of cybersecurity strategies and policies is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular security audits and compliance assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  2. Investigate security incidents promptly and implement effective remediation measures.
  3. Work closely with system administrators to manage endpoint security solutions.
  4. Enforce least privilege access and security hardening across the organisation.
  5. Monitor logs and alerts for potential security threats and deploy cybersecurity policies accordingly.
  6. Develop and maintain security rule alerts in collaboration with the team.
  7. Support the accreditation process for security compliance.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Detail-oriented professionals with a strong focus on security compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Candidates should have experience identifying and responding to security threats.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

  • TS(PV) Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in security operations and analysis.
  • Expertise in The ASD's Essential Eight: How to Implement Cyber Security Strategies with Training.
  • Relevant qualifications include:
    • Elastic Certified Observability Engineer
    • Microsoft SC-200T00 - Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
    • RH415 - REDHAT Security
  • Experience as a Radiant Mercury Audit Administrator or similar.
  • Proficiency in ELK Security for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
