About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance and Engineering Manager to lead our Reliability Maintenance and Engineering Team in Sydney, Australia.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, standard, and efficient working environment by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of up to 10 maintenance professionals, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions and implement network standards.
  • Support the Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager in implementing safety and statutory compliance programs.
  • Implement preventative maintenance strategies to ensure high equipment availability.
  • Develop and direct training programs to ensure sufficient technical coverage for shifts.
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience managing teams of +10 direct reports, emphasizing growth, development, and engagement.
  • Familiarity with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations, data analysis tools, and PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with project management, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, or Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
