Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Design professional to join our team. As a Senior Civil Designer, you will play a crucial role in planning, developing, and quality-checking civil design work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review design work for medium-sized projects or assignments within a small-size civil/structural design work group.
  • Create 3D models, drawings, and documentation in accordance with established design standards for civil works, including earthwork, road, and drainage structures.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of civil design estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Review and check civil engineering sketches and drawings from designers and drafters.
  • Ensure civil designs comply with all applicable installation codes, design guides, regulations, and standards.
  • Coordinate and interface as directed with the day-to-day technical work of civil engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to upper management.
  • Coordinate assigned civil design work with other project groups.
  • Collaborate with client representatives to obtain approval on phases of work.
  • Facilitate technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers).
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentor civil designers and drafters for their professional development.
Requirements:
  • Requires 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Extensive experience undertaking design and drafting using MicroStation and OpenRoads software.
