Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for building and maintaining large-scale cloud infrastructure.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

You will work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and collaborate across AWS to deliver safety and security while providing scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain diverse experience across AWS data centers and participate in high-impact small to mid-scale projects. You will also have the chance to contribute towards building a great team by participating in the Amazon hiring process and candidate interviews.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience with server hardware, 1+ year of experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems, and server hardware troubleshooting experience.

About The Team

We are a dynamic team experiencing rapid growth, and onboarding will be dynamic, with opportunities to gain diverse experience across AWS data centers.

New hires will rotate through various AWS locations to complete training as part of onboarding for deployment in a data centre region. Training will be completed over 6-12 months, after which individuals are relocated to a permanent location.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience
  • Hands-on experience with hardware platforms (e.g., Dell, HP) is a plus
  • Previous experience in a data centre environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment)
