The Role: Cancer Care Manager
This leadership position plays a critical role in planning, developing, implementing, managing, and administering health information services. The successful candidate will oversee medical records departments, ensuring proper storage, retrieval, and destruction of all written and electronic medical records in accordance with current policies and procedures. They'll coordinate quality improvement activities to ensure data integrity and clinical coding accuracy. Additionally, they'll analyze clinical data for billing, quality, and research purposes, submitting data to external parties and negotiating health fund contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and other relevant personnel to plan, develop, implement, manage, and administer health information services.
- Oversee medical records departments to ensure compliance with current policies and procedures regarding storage, retrieval, and destruction of written and electronic medical records.
- Coordinate quality improvement activities to ensure data integrity and clinical coding accuracy.
- Analyze clinical data for billing, quality, and research purposes, submitting data to external parties and negotiating health fund contracts.
- Ensure HIM staff transfer relevant activity data to internal and external third parties in a timely manner using secure methods.

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Health Science (Health Information Management) or equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility for membership to HIMAA.
- Previous health information management experience.
- Auditing experience and spreadsheet skills.

Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum
