The Role

We are seeking a Physiotherapy Aide who will work with our clients to enhance their physical mobility and quality of life.

You will be responsible for delivering physiotherapy programs that meet the diverse physical needs of our residents.

This is a part-time position, working 8 hours per week on Monday and Thursday.

  • Implement physiotherapy programs within a group setting or on a one-to-one basis as directed by a physiotherapist.
  • Assist and motivate in the facilitation of maintaining resident independence.
  • Daily preparation of treatment areas, setting up equipment and completing associated documentation.
  • Assisting in the development and review of resident care plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (specialising in Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
  • A Certificate IV in Leisure & Heath or another relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience in the design and development of physio programs (desirable).
  • Previous experience or knowledge of transfers and mobility, pain management, equipment use, and biomechanics.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise your own work to meet daily requirements of the Physio Aide.
  • Effective problem solving skills with the ability to generate new ideas and solutions.
