Chief Governance Strategist

This is a high-profile leadership role that requires an influential and strategic executive leader to guide the Governance and Strategy portfolio. The successful candidate will drive alignment, oversight, and innovation across executive governance functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a high-impact directorate encompassing office of the Lord Mayor and Elected Members, Council Governance and Policy, Strategic Communications, and Strategic Advocacy and Policy.
- Partner closely with CEO, Lord Mayor, and Councillors to advance major strategic initiatives, foster organisational excellence, and ensure effective decision-making and compliance at the highest levels of the City's leadership.
- Extensive experience delivering strategic, operational, and governance outcomes within complex organisations.
- Strong capability in corporate governance, compliance, policy development, and organisational performance.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline ideally within a public sector context.
