Job Title: Senior Financial Operations Manager

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our team in the Grampians Region.

As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring best-practice financial, procurement, and prison stores processes are implemented across the region. You will provide expert financial analysis, monitoring, and reporting advice to senior leaders and business unit managers.

  • Lead and supervise a small team in the delivery of finance and designated procurement functions at H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial management systems, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Provide tailored financial and procurement support to business unit managers, including financial analysis, advice, and guidance.

About You

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in financial management, particularly analysis and reporting, and utilisation of financial management systems. You should also have knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with financial management software and systems.
