Job Description

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team in the Gold Coast office. As a senior tax accountant, you will play a key role in preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.

You will also assist in the preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS, and other statutory compliance, while staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.

In addition, you will provide tax planning and general business advice to multi-industry clientele up to $35 million in turnover, with the support of the director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for various entities
  • Assisting in the preparation and lodgment of BAS and other statutory compliance
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards
  • Providing tax planning and general business advice to clients
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 2 or more years of accounting experience in an Australian public practice firm
  • Current and ongoing right to work in Australia
  • A strong understanding of tax legislation and accounting standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
