Cost Estimator Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our estimating and tendering process for civil construction projects in Australia.
">- Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction or related fields;
- Demonstrated expertise in estimating civil construction and earthworks from first principles (3+ years);
- Experience in tendering government work for agencies such as TfNSW, WaterNSW;
- Knowledge of concrete construction and remediation techniques;
- Experience working with Tier 1 / Tier 2 construction contractors; (previous site experience 4-5 years )
- An extensive network of contacts across Australia;
- Proficiency in Expert Estimation estimating software package; and,
- A proven track record of success is essential.
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and tenders for civil projects in Australia. This involves leading a competitive estimation and tender process for civil construction projects (ie Road and Bridge Construction, Bridge launching, Tanks and Silo Construction, Dam upgrades, specialist building and complex structures) to achieve critical business objectives including strategic growth & development, turnover and margin targets.
">Key Responsibilities include collaborating with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Engineers to develop construction methodologies and non-price submission information, developing detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects, compiling accurate tenders within deadlines, and presenting for management review, and contributing to business development initiatives, identifying opportunities, and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients to foster growth.
